Heard board and more spray paint
I was pretty excited about this consignment store find. My bed on the floor in my little sister's spare bedroom just wasn't doing it for me. I found the next two pictures on Pinterest and knew I had to try to find a wrought iron bed frame to paint. I love the yellow frame, and all the pattern and texture on the blue one. They make me happy, and while I'm staying with my sister, I might as well keep myself working on making things prettier.
So when I saw this one at a consignment store in Jupiter, I bought it immediately because Craigslist, garage sale, and thrift store searches hadn't come up with anything so far. It was a little more than I would like to pay at $50 and without a footboard, but considering I'd been looking for a few months, I went for it.
Also unintentionally depicted is part of my little sister's backyard. It's a great spot for three dogs and a 2.5 year old! Gypsy and Avery are loving hanging out with my sister Eden's little puggle Tuff.
Anyways, I bought some yellow spray paint, and after enlisting the help of my brother-in-law Ray to put the bed together, I have this:
It makes staying in my little sister's spare bedroom a feel a little bit more like home - something about a little bit of spray paint that makes the heart grow fonder. Now to find some prints for the wall and some higher night stands....
